My USB Hard Drive does not get Recognized in Windows 7

Home > Frequently Asked Questions > My USB Hard Drive does not get Recognized in Windows 7

I have been using USB device on my 32 bit windows 7 over the last four months but, as long as I have connected it with 64 bit operating system my USB hard drive does not get recognized in windows 7 anymore. Any kind of help would be highly appreciated.

You need to follow these instructions carefully;

Well this is quite common these days but the solution to this is quite simple as well.

  1. First of all you need to start with normal fixing methods like drivers uninstalling and reinstalling.
  2. If it doesn't work at all then try to perform System Restore because may be something is conflicting with the device drivers.
  3. Again if it doesn't help, go to the Device Manager and uninstall all the devices that come under USB controllers. Next, Restart the PC and reinstall the USB drivers.
  4. Still if the problem persists, simply turn off your computer completely. Along with its main power plug.
  5. After waiting for few minutes, turn it back on.

Hope this helped you somehow. But still if you are having any kind of issues related to USB devices or data recovery then you can talk to our customer service representatives at 1.800.347.5377.
