SATA Hard Drive is not Recognized in BIOS after Windows 7 Reinstallation

Home > Frequently Asked Questions > SATA Hard Drive is not Recognized in BIOS after Windows 7 Reinstallation

My 160 GB Western Digital SATA hard drive is not recognized in BIOS after I reinstalled Windows 7 because I was having a Win 32 Virus. I tried so many things to make it working, like switching of cables etc. but it didn't help me out. And unfortunately I don't have another PC to check whether it gets recognized or not.

First of all, if your Hard Drive is not getting recognized, you should have a check on all of the cables, memory, jumpers once again firmly, and try to boot up the system with the minimum hardware(s) attached to it. Then, re-configure the BIOS settings related to SATA; it might help you out but, in case if it doesn't, your HDD might be having some defects in it.

Still if you are having any ambiguities then you may contact our support at 1.800.347.5377 to make them clear.
