Thinking! Why My New Hard Drive was Not Recognized

Recently I purchased a new HDD and when I placed it in an external case for the purpose to use it as an external storage device, my new hard drive was not recognized by the PC. I don't know what I really did wrong. Kindly guide me in this regard.

Well you need to;

1. Go to the Control Panel and select Administrative Tools.
2. Double click on Computer Management icon.
3. Then, click on Disk Management and check whether the drive is showing up in it or not.
4. If it is, then there is a possibility that the drive is not assigned with any Letter. So, assign a desired letter to the drive.
