Why is the Larger Hard Drive Cheaper

For my new build, currently I have SSD 120 GB SSD drive but I want a larger size up to 1 TB. Actually I use to download a large amount of data Why is the Larger Hard Drive Cheaper including videos, audios and softwares, that’s why I need a larger SSD drive. Two kinds of storage devices are usually famous in market; one is Seagate while the other one is Western Digital. Now I have two questions. First of all I want to know that which one is better in Seagate and Western Digital with respect to efficiency and reliability. The other thing that I need to know is that why the larger hard drive is cheaper as the price of 1TB is comparatively cheaper than 500 GB SSD per MB price.

First of all I will like to answer that why is the larger hard drive cheaper. The fact is that the motors and other electric parts are same in small or large hard drives; only there is difference of storage capacity.

You are right that nowadays these two drives are the most popular among all drive brands. However, you can check the specifications of both of the drives.
