I use Pavillion HP laptop with vista. Meantime I don’t have any recovery disc and HP has also told me that they don’t provide any recovery disc. Furthermore, I tried to restore to a certain point but it’s not adequate. The operating system is corrupted partially, and I want to see the operating system in a fresh condition. Actually I am not worried about my files but only want to restore my windows to the factory settings. Can you please give my step by step instructions to recover HP laptop vista?
To perform the following step by step procedure will let you to restore your Hp Laptop to factory setting. Just do as directed.
- Go to Start.
- In Search Field just type “Recovery”.
- Select Recovery Manager coming in the list.
- HP Recovery Manager will open.
- Now click Advanced options, System Recovery and click next. Your PC will restart and again open the Recovery Manager.
- Suppose if advanced options is not enable, click Next and after that select System Recovery. The PC will restart.
After restarting the PC, just select System Recovery option and click Next.
- After prompting, select Backup Your Files (recommended) option and now click Next.
- When you are prompted to recover without backup up your files, STOP just before you opt for Next.
- Now you will be given a warning that deleting all the files and programs. When you clicked Next then it is impossible to stop the restore process.
- After clicking Next button the PC will begin automatic formatting and all the data will be destroyed.
