How to Delete a Network Drive?

Home > Recently Asked questions > How to Delete a Network Drive

I want to delete a network drive because it is taking up to 96% of space. It displays "Disconnected Network Drive". If I press double-click on it, the drive opens properly to the network share. But when I try to disconnect the drive, it displays an error message that "The network connection could not be found". And when I try to re-map the drive, it displays "The local device name is already in use". Now, how can I delete the drive? Please help me out.

In order to remove the network drive, you need to follow these steps.

  1. Go to My Computer.
  2. Make a right-click on it.
  3. You will find an option for Disconnect Network Device .
  4. Click on this option and it will remove the drives in case you have made to share on your computer system.

Hopefully, this will work properly but if you face the similar issue even after performing the above mentioned procedure, then you need to contact us at 1.800.347.5377. Our experts will be glad to provide you all the necessary guidance regarding the Network drive issues.
